What's Fresh

What’s Fresh! Dec. 5

Because a couple of vendors built greenhouses, customers can enjoy tomatoes, green beans and other warm weather veggies throughout the winter market season.

Fresh Veggies – Winter produce is coming on strong, like acorn squash, beets, bok choy, broccoli, butternut squash, cabbage, carrots, collards, kale, kohl rabi, mustard greens, oyster mushrooms, onions, parsnips and greens, pecans, potatoes, radishes, sprouts, spaghetti squash, sweet potatoes, Swiss chard, tatsoi, turnips and turnip greens, wheatgrass and more.

Artisan food – savory and dessert mixes, spice mixes, locally roasted coffee, jerky, Italian red sauce, salsa and chips, tamales, award-winning pies, breads, croissants, macarons, olive oil, vinegar,  flavored nuts, pasta + ravioli + sauces, cookies, granola, lemonade, fruit and nut snack bars,  honey, jams and jellies, gluten-free prepared dishes + bars + breads,  and more.

Fresh Herbs –  basils, garlic chives, dill, lemon balm, mint, oregano, parsley, rosemary, sage, thyme.

Meats – Salmon is here!  Find pastured beef, lamb, pork, and chicken raised on a natural diet, eggs. Eggs run out fast, so pre-orders are best.

Dairy products – drinkable goat milk yogurt, goat milk chevre and feta cheese, cow’s milk artisan cheeses, pimiento cheese, butter.

Other – doggie biscuits, soaps, soy candles, sugar scrubs, lip balm.

Our farmers use various growing methods. To clarify, our website notes their growing methods on each farmer’s description page. Look for Certified Organic, Sustainably Grown, or Conventional growing methods noted at the end of their descriptions.

We are a local, seasonal farmers market, meaning that our farmers bring only what is ripening in  their fields this week and some produce has a short growing season.
Eating with the seasons takes education, awareness and patience!
