Farmer Update: Anticipating Seasonal Change & New Crops

Most North Texas farmers will be picking eggplants, summer squash, okra and basil right up to the first frost of the year, which typically arrives in mid-November. Right now at the Coppell Farmers Market shoppers can find the last of summer tomatoes and cantaloupes. They’ll enjoy new finds like Muscadine grapes and Fairy Tale eggplant, and should definitely load up on the last of the season’s storage crops (potatoes and onions).
