Starting with organic seeds and using sustainable methods of mulching, watering and fertilizing, Chris Buckalew follows a growing philosophy based on Eliot Coleman’s The New Organic Grower. In spring, Chris sells soil blocks and plant starts. Winter through summer Chris works his family farm near Forestburg in Montague County, then as a PhD in Computer Science, teaches at California Polytechnic State University during the fall quarter.
