Insurgent Foods is a food truck with an evolving menu that focuses on seasonality, fermentation, unique flavors and techniques that highlight local ingredients.
Owners Sam and Gabby met at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. From there they traveled and worked across the country and even to the Caribbean island of Grenada, as well as Tequila, Mexico. They have worked in various fine dining establishments and landed in corporate culinary positions before they decided to leave it all to make their own dream come true. In 2021 they left their corporate jobs, and moved back home (where Sam is originally from) to Denton, TX pursuing their own small business. Since their opening in January 2022, Insurgent has been showcasing the beautiful produce and meats throughout Denton and have been picking up traction ever since.
