Founded and Operated by Community Volunteers

Did you know the Coppell Farmers Market was founded by a group of volunteers? In exchange for your time and expertise the Coppell Farmers Market offers a space to build community and connect with local food.

The Coppell Farmers Market Committee

The CFM Committee is a steering committee of citizen volunteers who supervise the market in partnership with the farmers market manager and the Coppell Sustainable Food Organization (CSFO), our market’s parent non-profit organization. Committee members not only govern but volunteer either on market days or serve on one or more subcommittees. Our committee meets once monthly, every third Wednesday evening. Subcommittees meet as needed, and some volunteer tasks require weekday email/phone communication. See the list of subcommittees and volunteer jobs.

HOW EXPRESS INTEREST IN JOINING THE CFM COMMITTEE:
Send an introductory email to [email protected] to let us know that you’re interested in joining the committee and to learn the time and location of the next committee meeting. Also let us know if you have an interest in a subcommittee or if there is a certain way you’d like to contribute to the success of the CFM.

High School Student Internship

The Coppell Farmers Market is seeking high school students who are interested in completing semester-long internships in exchange for service hours on 1-2 Saturdays per month in 2-hour shifts.

This internship is for students who are interested in being a part of Coppell’s local food community, have an interest in food, nutrition or farming, or have an interest in gaining hands-on marketing and customer relations experience.

The interns will complete advertising/marketing tasks (such as generating posts for social media, customer counting and surveying) and hospitality/customer service tasks (such as serving coffee and water to vendors, answering customer questions).

We are now accepting applications for the summer session (May-August 2020). To apply please send an email to [email protected] by March 15, 2020. In the email please tell us why you’re interested in participating.  Applicants will be notified by mid-April.
