Did you follow last Saturday’s social media takeover on the Coppell Farmers Market Instagram? This was the first of many “takeovers” of our market’s social media account, for which community members are documenting and sharing their individual experiences as shoppers and visitors at the Coppell Farmers Market. We hope you’ll follow along.
An Instagram takeover is the process of taking over someone else’s Instagram account temporarily and sharing content with their audience. In our case, we’re inviting residents and members of our community from all ages and experiences to help us document the goodness of the Coppell Farmers Market.
Saturday’s guest was Fiona Koshy, incoming senior at Coppell High School. Fiona showed up at 7:00am, that’s right: 7:00 am on a summer morning, to document our vendor’s set up processes. She stayed until the bitter end so she could give a start-to-finish scope of what takes place each week. Fiona created a super-cool, time-lapse video and snapped some still shots of summer-time crops in all their beauty. During the school year Fiona is a journalist for the school paper, so naturally she was inclined to ask customers and vendors for their stories.
The Coppell Farmers Market Instagram handle is @CoppellFarmersMarket. Follow along to see Fiona’s “Humans of New York” inspired interviews from last week and stay tuned for more guest takeovers.
