CFM Welcomes EarthFest!

The City of Coppell’s annual ecoCoppell Earthfest is returning to the Coppell Farmers Market on Saturday, April 13 from 9AM – 12PM! Both entertaining and educational, ecoCoppell Earthfest is an opportunity to learn about sustainable living while shopping sustainably at the same time! This
community celebration of Coppell’s commitment to the environment highlights the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy earth for future generations and educates residents on ways to lead more
environmentally sustainable lifestyles.

A wide variety of interactive educational booths will cover topics such as waste reduction, water conservation, air quality and conserving natural resources, as well as numerous ways the public can reduce their impact on the environment. Soles4Souls will be on site collecting gently worn shoes for redistribution. And the Coppell Middle School East Sustainability Club will be collecting old cell phones and tablets for recycling.

Bring the whole family and enjoy many activities located throughout the Farmers Market, located at 768 W. Main St., including the Perot Tech Truck, fun with Play Street Museum on Wheels, performances by Professor Branius, a live show with Critterman, face painting, lawn games and other hands-on activities for all ages!

Document shredding will be available at the Coppell Service Center, located at 816 S. Coppell Rd. Household hazardous waste and electronics will not be accepted at this event; however, these items may be disposed of once a month through Republic Services by calling 972-304-3555.

Keep Coppell Beautiful (KCB) and ecoCoppell partner with the City of Coppell to bring this event to the Coppell community. KCB strives to involve individuals in promoting education and activities that encourage waste reduction, litter prevention, beautification, and environmental sustainability. In addition to their education efforts, KCB sponsors environmental education classes, and community-wide clean-
ups. ecoCoppell is committed to improving environmental standards through providing opportunities for the City of Coppell to promote and continually improve the efficient use of resources.
