Compost Haste is a woman owned and operated non-profit organization based out of Lewisville, TX. Owner Margaret Blackmon is passionate about waste reduction and the Coppell Farmers Market is enthusiastic to be her organization’s first public compost drop off site. Find Compost Haste at the Coppell Farmers Market every other week.

Compost Haste Can Accept the Following:

  • food scraps (fruits, veggies, egg shells)
  • bread, cereal, rice, potatoes
  • meat (including bones and fats)
  • processed foods and left-overs
  • coffee grounds, coffee filters, tea bags
  • milk substitutes (almond, soy, coconut milk)
  • bagged leaves, grass clippings
  • newspaper
  • shredded paper
  • cardboard
  • paper towel and toilet paper rolls
  • paper towels and paper napkins
  • small animal (rabbit, chicken, hamster, bird) manure and bedding

Compost Haste cannot accept dog or cat waste, plastic, and glass.

The Coppell Farmers Market fulfills grocery needs year-round.  Vendors are vetted to ensure they grow and produce what they sell. Open Saturdays, 8am-noon. Located at 768 W. Main St. in Old Town Coppell.
