Fond Farewell to Bakahri Thornton

When 8am rolls around each Saturday morning the coffee is hot, the directional signs have been posted, and our vendors are already serving their first customers of the day. While most folks are snoozing a whole production is underway at the Coppell Farmers Market, thanks to our market’s wonderful staff and volunteers.

Recently one of our market’s biggest smiles and all-around-favorite, Bakahri Thornton, has moved on.  He’s the one our visitors can thank for the hot coffee. Bakahri has been a committed staff person, showing up as early as 5:30 every Saturday morning, week after week. He sets our days in motion and brings smiles (especially to the vendors), even after putting in 9 to 5 as a Grand Prairie parks department supervisor on the weekdays.

The Coppell Farmers Market committee sends a fond farewell to Bakahri Thornton and warm wishes as he settles into a new job and life with his family in Olympia, Washington.
