Find the most delicious peaches at the Coppell Farmers Market NOW-August.
Here’s a favorite of our market manager’s, Amanda Austin. Her Grandmother Baskin’s peach cobbler.
1 *homemade pie crust (or store bought), cut into 1 inch strips.
4 Cups of ripe peaches , skinned and pitted
1 Cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, cut into bits
Ice cream
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly grease 2 quart casserole. Gently mix sugar and peaches.
Lay strips of pie crust on bottom of dish. Then alternate layers of peach mixture and pie crust strips, dot with butter as you go. Finish with layer of pie crust strips. Bake 45 mins until top is golden and filling is bubbling .
