The Coppell Farmers Market will be open through November 19th. Closed November 26th. Winter Market dates are the first and third Saturdays in December, and the second and fourth Saturdays from January-March, 8am-noon.
The Coppell Farmers Market is still open for business and will remain open through the winter. In fact, it’s been a bountiful fall and our farmers are thrilled to share the best and most flavorful ingredients, and our artisan bakers and producers are preparing foods that will make your holiday guests say “Wow!”.
Everyone knows that homegrown means full flavor. In the coming weeks our farmers will be selling many of the ingredients used in traditional holiday dishes, like sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans, pecans and fresh herbs, and hand churned butter. It’s not too late to order a Thanksgiving turkey from Rehoboth Ranch!
Later this winter shoppers will continue to find a wide selection of produce as our market’s growers use greenhouses and other season extension methods. Remember the Coppell Farmers Market when writing your grocery lists for both November and December celebrations.
Local journalist and farmers market enthusiast, Kim Pierce, suggests allowing local “dessert pros” relieve you of fanciful holiday dessert preparation. On any given Saturday shoppers can pick up homemade desserts made by the pros with the most wholesome ingredients. Some Coppell FM artisans are offering gift wrapped goodies, and others are taking orders for extra special holiday fixins, like Joe the Baker’s “piecaken”. His Thanksgiving Piecaken features a pumpkin pie and a pecan pie baked inside a spice cake with butterscotch frosting.
Other market favorites are Village Baking Co’s laminated brioche, Empa Mundo’s guava and goat cheese empanadas, Mrs. Burk’s Buns cinnamon rolls that will remind you of home, Wackym’s Kitchen’s crunchy salted caramel cookies, and Just Pie’s coconut cream pie.
