This season’s Market to Kitchen series returns next week with a chef demonstration by Chef Cesar Hernandez. The free program on preparing Cajun inspired pasta will be offered Saturday, April 30th, under canopies on the south side of the Coppell FM pavilion, beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m.
Chef Cesar prepares and cooks food at Dodie’s Restaurant, a business located just across the street from the Coppell Farmers Market. Nearly 15 years ago Cesar began his career in a “scratch kitchen” in Florida, where everything was made fresh. Before landing at Dodie’s Restaurant as the Kitchen Manager, Chef Cesar’s eclectic cooking career has included preparing Americana, Asian, and sushi cuisines. At Dodie’s Chef Cesar is cooking Cajun & New Orleans style cuisine.
Cesar has chosen to demonstrate the preparation of a Dodie’s original recipe “Pasta Monica”. The recipe is a play on a traditional New Orleans crawfish and cream sauce dish. For this demonstration the chef will source pasture-raised chicken, pasta, green onions, and basil from Coppell Farmers Market growers and producers.
*This Chef Demonstration will take place rain or shine, but will be canceled in the event of severe storming.
