Annual Dinner Ticket Sales in August

Just a handful of tickets to the annual Coppell Farmers Market fundraising dinner, “Taste of the Market”, remain. Tickets are priced at $100 each. To reserve tickets send an email to [email protected] , note “Tickets” in the subject line.

The CFM is excited to announce the dinner will continue to celebrate local farmers, food producers, chefs and professional cooks but gone will be the days of 100 formal servers clad in matching outfits.

This year, on Saturday, October 12th, dinner guests will stroll Grapevine Springs Park and taste fifteen, or so, culinary creations. Most offerings will be paired with a local wine, craft beer, or signature cocktail. In addition to pairings, guests may visit the bar to exchange a drink ticket (included with the dinner) for full-size libations. Casual seating will be available for guests to use throughout the evening when they aren’t dancing on the patio.

The 2019 Taste of the Market event is a celebration of all who contribute to the local food system by highlighting farmers and producers and raising awareness of the value of local markets.  Ticket sale proceeds will support the use of Texas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Lone Star Cards at the market.  SNAP is designed to help low-income families purchase nutritional food. CFM grants each SNAP user an additional $10 per visit to purchase produce and meat at the market.  Additional funds raised are also used for CFM marketing campaigns.

The CFM volunteer committee has been planning for the event with
several professional, seasoned chefs and local food stakeholders.
Chef Hugh Stewart has worked at Whiskey Cake & Chamberlain’s in addition to being a popular guest chef at the market throughout the years. Chefs Robby and Victoria Hooker are beloved vendors at our market (Two Chefs Chips & Salsa) who have a long-time passion for cooking with farm-direct-sourced ingredients. The duo were instrumental in founding our market’s Farm to Table Dinner tradition and continue to dedicate time to the success of this event. Several other market vendors and committed market customers with a passion for cooking will also prepare food to share.

Tickets for the dinner will be sold at the farmers market on Saturday, August 10, 2019   for $100 each (cash or check only). The evening event will be held at Grapevine Springs Park from 6:00 – 9:00 pm on October 12th.
