Sustainable Farming Speakers at Earthfest

This Saturday, April 14th, the Coppell Farmers Market (CFM) will host EcoCoppell’s Earthfest! While shopping the best groceries in the metroplex visitors will find lots of Earth friendly, hands-on activities for young learners and adults.

One festival attraction will feature Coppell Farmers Market vendors Rehoboth Ranch and Aunt Sue’s Barn. This speaker series, about sustainable agriculture and Earth’s stewardship, will be the first of its type for Earthfest. Agriculture advocate and local resident, Amanda Vanhoozier, has organized and will moderate the discussion on behalf of her new, farm-centric blog, Just Picked TX.

Among lots of hands-on opportunities to learn about our planet, children’s activities will include a farm and food lesson from Moss Haven Farm’s Farmer Kim, an acclaimed Dallas-based children’s gardening educator. For double garden fun stop by the CFM Learning Garden at 10:30am for our weekly Garden Time for Kids program.
