On Saturday, April 28, 2018 the Coppell Farmers Market will be dedicated to teaching the significance of food and farming in our daily lives. Join us for free kid-centered activities and fun. First 300 participating children receive a $3 veggie voucher to spend at the CFM!
ACTIVITY LIST: Pickup a passport upon entry. Visit all the stops and earn $3 to spend on veggies at the CFM. All activities are come-and-go from 8:30-noon.
- What Animals Give Us | Petting Zoo plus hands-on lesson about food and fibers that come from farm animals.
- Parts of the Plant We Eat | Taste test fruits, leaves, roots, seeds, stems, and flowers. Make your own salad.
- Veggie Vote | What’s your favorite? Use a sticker to pick your favorite. Don’t forget to take a pic and post #coppellmarket #veggievote
- Farm, Store, or Factory? | Guess where it comes from and consider why farms are so important in our daily lives.
- Craft and Planting at the Learning Garden | Make and take craft and plant a seed.
