Ingredients
- 1 roast
- salt
- pepper
- garlic powder
- 1/2- 3/4 c. flour
- 2-3 tblsp. olive oil
- 1.5 c. water
Steps & Family Notes:
1.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Cut up roast into pieces of desired size. My family likes 1-1.5 inch cubes. Discard bones.
2.
Season the roast pieces with salt, pepper and garlic powder. I line the cubed pieces up on the cutting board, sprinkle seasonings on top, then I flip the pieces using a long knife and season the other side.
3.
Coat all sides of the roast with flour. To coat the pieces I add 6-7 pieces at a time to a mixing bowl filled with 1/2 c. (add more as needed). Then I remove the pieces, place them in a strainer, and “bounce” the strainer over the bowl a few times so the excess flour goes back into the bowl.
4.
5.
Place roast pieces in a 13 X9 glass baking pan. Add water. Cover tightly with foil.
6.
Bake at 300 degrees for three hours.
